Additional features include a C-type USB charging port, ride-by-wire with two ride modes (Performance and Eco), and switchable rear ABS.

Engine and Hardware Specifications

Powering the Himalayan 450 is an all-new 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine – the Sherpa 450. This marks Royal Enfield’s first liquid-cooled motor, delivering 0 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The power is efficiently transmitted to the rear wheel through a new 6-speed gearbox equipped with a slip and assist clutch.

Underneath, the Himalayan 450 features a robust steel twin-spar tubular frame with a twin-sided swingarm, supported by a Showa-sourced suspension setup and larger front and rear rotors for enhanced braking. The motorcycle rolls on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels, which will later offer tubeless tire options.

Apart from its Indian debut, the Himalayan 450 will be available in Europe and the UK from March 2024. Priced at 5,900 euros in Europe and 5,750 pounds in the UK, the motorcycle is set to make waves in the international biking community.
