Delhi Services Bill:

After the Lok Sabha, the Delhi Service Bill was also passed by the Rajya Sabha on Monday. This bill was brought regarding the right of transfer-posting of the officers of Delhi. After the bill was passed, five MPs alleged that without their consent in the proposed select committee Name included. BJP MPs S Phangnon Konyak, Narhari Amin and Dr.Sudhanshu Trivedi, AIADMK MP M Thambidurai and BJD MP Dr Sasmit Patra have alleged that their names were included in the proposed select committee on the bill without their consent.

On this matter, Union Minister V Muraleedharan said that “This is a very serious issue. The AAP leader who had handed over the selection committee’s notice also included the names of members from ruling parties BJP and BJD as well as AIADMK who had not given their consent. This amounts to forging his signature. The concerned members have submitted the letter to the Chairman, Rajya Sabha.

I have never seen anything like this happen: Hardeep Puri

Speaking on the allegation of those five MPs, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri claimed that their names were mentioned on the proposal to send the Delhi NCR Amendment Bill to the Select Committee without their consent. The proposal was moved by AAP MP Raghav Chadha. They said “In my six years as a minister or in 30-40 years when I am looking at the Parliament. Also as a civil servant covering this, I have never seen anything like this happen. It should be seriously investigated.

They didn’t talk to me: Narhari Amin

BJP MP Narhari Amin alleged that his name was included in the proposed select committee on the Delhi Services Bill. He said- “Raghav Chadha included my name in the select committee. They didn’t talk to me, I didn’t give consent for it. They have done wrong. I have not given my signature.” Home Minister Amit Shah has demanded an inquiry into the matter. When I get the notice, I will answer it openly’
While giving a statement on the whole matter, Raghav Chadha said – Let them give me notice. I’ll answer that. No signature was required. When I get the notice, I will answer it openly. I am not bothered about this at all.
