Sulabh Founder Bindeshwar Pathak- Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, the founder of Sulabh International, passed away on Tuesday. Dr. Pathak breathed his last at AIIMS, Delhi. Please inform that after cardiac arrest, he was brought to the emergency of AIIMS at 1.30 pm. Doctors tried to restore his heartbeat by giving him CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) but they did not succeed.

PM Modi expressed grief
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the demise of Sulabh founder Bindeshwar Pathak. PM Modi said that the demise of Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak ji is a deep loss for our country. He was a visionary who worked extensively for social progress and empowering the underprivileged.

PM Modi tweeted and wrote that Bindeshwar ji has made the creation of a clean India his mission. He provided tremendous support to the Swachh Bharat Mission. His passion for cleanliness was always visible during our various interactions. His work will continue to inspire many. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones at this difficult time. AIIMS doctors declared dead:
He reached his residence at Sulabh village in Mahavir Enclave at 10.30 am on Tuesday. The flag hoisting took place here at around 11 am. He addressed the people present there for about five minutes. After some time, he felt some difficulty in breathing. At around 12:50, his restlessness increased a lot.

There are about 8500 toilets across the country
He founded Sulabh International, which works to promote human rights, environmental cleanliness, non-conventional sources of energy, waste management and social reforms. Sulabh International has around 8500 toilets and bathrooms across the country. Sulabh International charges Rs 5 for using toilets and Rs 10 for bathing, while in many places they have been kept free for community use.
