Air India: There was a technical fault in the Air India flight coming from Kathmandu to Delhi, after which the aircraft was removed from the runway with the help of a tractor. The incident is of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Airport spokesperson Subas Jha confirmed the incident.

The spokesperson said that the Air India flight, which was ready to take off for Delhi, developed a technical snag at around 4 am on Wednesday. After investigation, the team of engineers informed that there was a fault in the landing gear of the aircraft, due to which the wheel of the aircraft was locked.

2 international and 5 domestic flights affected

The spokesman said that there were 179 passengers on board the flight coming to Delhi. Passengers were offloaded from the aircraft after information about a technical fault. He said flights were affected for about an hour after the aircraft broke down on the runway. Two international and five domestic flights were stopped mid-air. Operations of flights were started after the aircraft was removed from the runway and taken to the parking lot.
